Rob Cook, D Min; Clinical Director
“Healing is hard, staying wounded is harder” —Unknown.
It’s my honor to facilitate healing in organizations or people who have experienced trauma, difficult life situations, or relational challenges. I serve individuals, couples, families and organizations as they journey through the hard healing process or the development of healthy organizational cultures. I use a holistic systems and life span perspective. I serve as the Director of the Response Care Center in Richland, MI and co-host the “Mindful Conversations with Matt and Rob” podcast. It’s not one size fits all. I utilize family and organizational system approaches, cognitive behavioral, developmental, spiritual and trauma protocols to aid my clients during their healing process.
I am a Certified Family Life Educator, certified in EMDR and trained in CISM protocol. Additionally, I hold certification as a Clinical Trauma Professional Level 1 and 2 and developed a cross-cultural model of maturity “Helping in Motion.” My educational background includes a Doctorate in Counseling, a MA in Counseling Psychology, a MA in Biblical Studies, and post graduate work in addictions. I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Michigan.
Most importantly, I love the outdoors and enjoy kayaking, hiking, and playing in the mud with jeeps. I am married to Sandy and have two children, Nicolle (Marc) and Jeremiah and two awesome grandchildren.
